Eagle Crest Lodge originally started as a horse barn near Abingdon, Virginia. It wasn’t until we got a hold of it that its whole “life” changed. The barn went from five horse stalls and a hayloft, to a cozy lodge with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two living rooms, two kitchens, and two laundry rooms, as well as plenty of porches and people.

ECL is located 7 miles from Abingdon, VA and the Barter Theater, 3 miles to the Virginia Creeper trail,, 15 minutes to Damascus, VA for bike rentals to ride the Creeper Trail, 20 minutes to the Bristol Speedway, 1 hour to see the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands State Park, and 2 hours from Asheville, NC. Best of all it is a great location to enjoy water sports on the South Holston Lake, and only 30 feet to our favorite family story telling area: our fire pit!
