The GreatSmokiesRun441 motorcycle route is a great run for beginners and is at an elevation of over 5,000 feet, it is still great for a quick climb into the forest where you can get lost in the trees and tunnels. There are a few switchbacks that are easy to navigate due to the national park speed limit. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is among the most visited national parks in the world! The route goes through many altitude changes and offers plenty of striking views. As you travel down the road, you’ll find plenty of scenic pullouts that provide beautiful sights of the mountains. When you reach Clingman’s Dome, you’ll be at the highest point in Tennessee. You can look over a dozen mountain ridges when you look east on a clear day.

Two National Forests-114 Miles-1 Grisly Murder
The Murder Mountain Run motorcycle ride is an exhilarating and thrilling adventure that takes riders through the picturesque yet mysterious landscapes of North Carolina. This ride combines the adrenaline rush of motorcycle riding with the intrigue of exploring the infamous Murder of Charlie Silvers took place in 1830. Riders will navigate winding roads, dense forests, and breathtaking vistas, all while immersing themselves in the captivating history and legends surrounding this enigmatic place. Thus calling the ride “Murder Mountain Run”, as the motorcycle travels by the church were there are three headstones for different body parts found after the incident. The ride is 114 miles long and meanders from the Spruce Pine and Little Switzerland area, south on the Blue Ridge Parkway to NC 80. After a short ride on US Hwy 19E, it turns north on NC 80 through Kona, where the infamous murder happened before Christmas in 1831. The legend is told that Frankie Silvers wife to Charlie Silvers, killed her husband with an axe in a fit of jealous rage. TheSuchesLoop.com is packed with s-curves, blind corners, steep elevation changes, twisties and magnificent scenery and is one of the best motorcycle roads in Georgia right smack in the middle of the impressive Chattahoochee National Forest and Blue Ridge Mountains. Experienced motorcycle riders will find the road challenging due to the elevation changes but suggest that new riders to the area and the ride take it slower to enjoy the spectacular mountain roller coaster of scenery.
The scenery is worth taking your time with rolling, lush valleys and thrilling switchbacks across ridges and roads such as Wolf Pen Gap, Route 19, Route 180, and Route 60. There are many great places to make a basecamp for riding in Northern Georgia.

The museum also houses a collection of related objects, photographs, ephemera, and a digital archive.An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, our museum tells the story of the 1927 Bristol Sessions, the influential recordings that sparked the “big bang of country music,” and continue to inspire the music of today.
The annual music Festival began in 2001 and has been a part of BCM since December, 2012. A 2015 Economic Impact Study showed that visitors to the Festival from outside the region had a $16.1 million impact on the region. The Festival generally hosts over 130 bands on 20 stages in downtown Bristol during the third weekend in September. Attendance has grown to approximately 45,000. Among its many accolades the Festival has been named as one of Rolling Stone’s “Top 20 Tours and Festivals”, and has won a Grand Pinnacle Award from the International Festival and Events Association.

Welcome to Switchback Creek Campground.We are a motorcycle and family friendly campground located in the mountains of North East Tennessee built by a rider. If you are tired of the hype and hustle of Deals Gap but would like exciting roads and beautiful mountain scenery then you have come to the right place. We are snuggled between three mountains at an elevation of 3,000 feet and just 2 1/2 miles from the crossroads US 421 and 91/133.
Take a leisurely ride on any of the roads leading out of Shady Valley or gather with a group and ride “the snake ” . There are 489 curves within a 12 mile radius of the crossroads.
Want to make this a family or group outing? There are various attractions available in the area. White water rafting, hiking on the AT, antique shopping, theaters, caverns, bicycling the creeper trail and many more activity’s within a days adventure.
Our cabins are conveniently located to downtown Damascus, Abingdon and only 35 miles from Bristol Motor Speedway. Ride your bikes into town to catch a shuttle, grab a meal or just enjoy an ice cream. For any last minute forgotten items Food City Grocery is close by.
All our cabins come with a fully stocked kitchen. Microwave, toaster, oven, french press, and drip coffee pot with filters. You will find glasses, silverware, plates, mugs, pots and pans and all the basic supplies you will need to conduct basic cooking or food preparation in your cabin.
Bed linens, bath and kitchen towels are provided.
All of the cabins have a full bathroom.

With 10 campsites and an adjacent large Civilian Conservation Corps- built reservable pavilion with lawn, Backbone Rock is a great option for a group to reserve the whole campground for retreats and other events.
