The Snake 421, aka The Best of the Snake, is a really nice 37 mile section of The Snake, offering 489 curves while crossing 3 mountains and traveling through one beautiful valley. It travels through Johnson County, Tennessee and Washington County, Virginia. It is considered by many as one of America’s favorite chartered Motorcycle and Sport Car Rides. The Foothills Parkway 339 motorcycle ride is a thrilling journey through the picturesque foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. Riders can expect sweeping curves, breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, a perfect balance of challenging twists and turns, combined with serene natural beauty. The finished highways of the Foothills Parkway are divided into four parts. Each part that is completed is some of the most beautiful landscapes in all four seasons and worth the effort in making it a worthwhile ride. The Western Segment is 33 miles at the southern portion of the parkway from US129 in Chilhowee TN to US 321 in Wears Valley TN. This section can be easily accessed after taking the US129DragonsTail.com or “Tail of the Dragon” motorcycle ride. The Eastern Segment is 5.6 miles at the most northern portion and can be accessed from Interstate I-40 from Hartford TN traveling towards Cosby TN. The third segment completed they call the “Foothills Parkway Spur” which is 4.3 miles long and starts in Gatlinburg and ends in Pigeon Forge. The remainder, “Missing Link” section is still being constructed. The Foothills Parkway 339 motorcycle ride promises an unforgettable experience for all who embark on it. 130 curves-22 Miles-Largest Dam East of the Rockies
TheHellbender28.com motorcycle road is located in North Carolina and is a 22-mile ride between Johnson Gap in Stecoah, NC traveling to Deals Gap at the beginning of the Dragon. From Johnson Gap, The Hellbender starts its way through the beautiful smoky mountains with challenging turns for cars and motorcyclists. On the way you will pass by several unique locations such as Fontana Lake where there are pull-offs to take a photo of the views. Then continuing on you will cross the top of the Fontana Dam, and Fontana Lake. This dam was created as a hydro electrical power facility for World War II by the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1942. The dam is 480 feet high and 2,365 feet across the Little Tennessee River and is the highest dam east of the Rocky Mountains. The 2000 plus famous hiking trail, the Appalachian Trail also crosses the top of Fontana Dam. After passing Fontana Village, a peaceful lake resort you end up at the end of this 22-mile run which dead ends in to highway US129 the beginning of Dragon.

Hicks White Top Campground is just across Highway 394 from Bristol Speedway and the perfect place to stay for NASCAR fans attending the races.
