TheHellbender28.com motorcycle road is located in North Carolina and is a 22-mile ride between Johnson Gap in Stecoah, NC traveling to Deals Gap at the beginning of the Dragon. From Johnson Gap, The Hellbender starts its way through the beautiful smoky mountains with challenging turns for cars and motorcyclists. On the way you will pass by several unique locations such as Fontana Lake where there are pull-offs to take a photo of the views. Then continuing on you will cross the top of the Fontana Dam, and Fontana Lake. This dam was created as a hydro electrical power facility for World War II by the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1942. The dam is 480 feet high and 2,365 feet across the Little Tennessee River and is the highest dam east of the Rocky Mountains. The 2000 plus famous hiking trail, the Appalachian Trail also crosses the top of Fontana Dam. After passing Fontana Village, a peaceful lake resort you end up at the end of this 22-mile run which dead ends in to highway US129 the beginning of Dragon.

Rotating exhibitions from guest curators and other institutions, including the Smithsonian, are featured throughout the year in the Special Exhibits Gallery. The museum also houses a collection of related objects, photographs, ephemera, and a digital archive.An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, our museum tells the story of the 1927 Bristol Sessions, the influential recordings that sparked the “big bang of country music,” and continue to inspire the music of today.
The annual music Festival began in 2001 and has been a part of BCM since December, 2012. A 2015 Economic Impact Study showed that visitors to the Festival from outside the region had a $16.1 million impact on the region. The Festival generally hosts over 130 bands on 20 stages in downtown Bristol during the third weekend in September. Attendance has grown to approximately 45,000. Among its many accolades the Festival has been named as one of Rolling Stone’s “Top 20 Tours and Festivals”, and has won a Grand Pinnacle Award from the International Festival and Events Association.

The Foothills Parkway 339 motorcycle ride is a thrilling journey through the picturesque foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. Riders can expect sweeping curves, breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, a perfect balance of challenging twists and turns, combined with serene natural beauty. The finished highways of the Foothills Parkway are divided into four parts. Each part that is completed is some of the most beautiful landscapes in all four seasons and worth the effort in making it a worthwhile ride. The Western Segment is 33 miles at the southern portion of the parkway from US129 in Chilhowee TN to US 321 in Wears Valley TN. This section can be easily accessed after taking the US129DragonsTail.com or “Tail of the Dragon” motorcycle ride. The Eastern Segment is 5.6 miles at the most northern portion and can be accessed from Interstate I-40 from Hartford TN traveling towards Cosby TN. The third segment completed they call the “Foothills Parkway Spur” which is 4.3 miles long and starts in Gatlinburg and ends in Pigeon Forge. The remainder, “Missing Link” section is still being constructed. The Foothills Parkway 339 motorcycle ride promises an unforgettable experience for all who embark on it. Lake Junaluska to Hot Springs- 234 Curves-33 miles
The Rattler Route 209 motorcycle ride North from Lake Junaluska to Hot Springs is a thrilling journey through the scenic beauty of North Carolina on route 209. The route offers a perfect balance of challenging twists and turns, as well as opportunities to appreciate the serene surroundings of Lake Junaluska and Hot Springs. There are over 234 twists, turns S-turns, switchbacks and curves on the Rattler 209 in 33 miles and is just as difficult as the Tail of the Dragon, The Snake and many other motorcycle rides for testing your riding skills.NC-209 is well maintained and less traveled than many of the other motorcycle routes. Nevertheless, it is well worth the time it may take to get there. It is a great ride. Walhalla SC – Highlands NC – 30 Miles-3 States
The ThreeState28.com motorcycle ride Start in Walhalla, SC and head north on route 28 for 32 miles. Cross the SC/GA border, stay on route 28, cross the GA/NC border, and head into Highlands, NC. Blacktop S turns, sweepers and hairpins wind up and down the hills with glimpses of the mountains and the valleys throughout the ride along with twisties and elevation changes. This ride runs through the Sumter and Nantahala national forests with mountains, rivers and waterfalls and crossing through three states. Not a lot between Walhalla and Highlands, so, fill up before you leave Walhalla. No restaurants or other facilities for miles.
There are three rides on highway 28, the first section riding from South to North is the ThreeState28.com. This motorycle ride is 32 miles from Walhalla SC to Highlands NC, the second part is the Moonshiner 28 from Highlands NC to Franklin NC and the thrird part is TheHellbender28.com is from Franklin NC To Deals Gap NC 22 miles.

Our cabins are conveniently located to downtown Damascus, Abingdon and only 35 miles from Bristol Motor Speedway. Ride your bikes into town to catch a shuttle, grab a meal or just enjoy an ice cream. For any last minute forgotten items Food City Grocery is close by.
All our cabins come with a fully stocked kitchen. Microwave, toaster, oven, french press, and drip coffee pot with filters. You will find glasses, silverware, plates, mugs, pots and pans and all the basic supplies you will need to conduct basic cooking or food preparation in your cabin.
Bed linens, bath and kitchen towels are provided.
All of the cabins have a full bathroom.
