Constructed on a hill on a family farm by a former resident, the campground offers quiet 300 degree views of the surrounding mountains. Built on a third Generation Dairy Farm after the sale of all the Cattle in late 90s, we’ve planted over three thousand trees on property mostly Walnuts,Oaks and Apples with a few rarely seen White Walnut(Butternut) and American Filbert(Hazelnut) Campers can harvest all they want in October.
Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

The Va Creeper Trail is open year round for trail runs, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. This former rail bed passes through the Mount Rogers National Recreation area and the highland country of southwest Virginia. The Virginia Creeper Trail is rich in beauty and regional history. This is an easy biking adventure that you, your friends, and family will talk about for a long time. Start at one of the Creeper Trails bike shops in Damascus for a bike rental and shuttle services to the top and take a leisurely ride downhill 17 miles to town. On this section of the trail (Whitetop to Damascus) you will ride your rental bike from Whitetop Station down to historic Green Cove Station. Then travel through the Jefferson National Forest to the community of Taylors Valley along the Laurel River (watch out for the trout in the stream) back to Damascus. The route goes through many altitude changes and offers plenty of striking views. As you travel down the road, you’ll find plenty of scenic pullouts that provide beautiful sights of the mountains. When you reach Clingman’s Dome, you’ll be at the highest point in Tennessee. You can look over a dozen mountain ridges when you look east on a clear day.

Through multiple theater experiences, interactive and stationary displays – along with a variety of educational programs, music performances, and community events – the exciting story of these recording sessions and their far-reaching influence comes alive. Rotating exhibitions from guest curators and other institutions, including the Smithsonian, are featured throughout the year in the Special Exhibits Gallery. The museum also houses a collection of related objects, photographs, ephemera, and a digital archive.An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, our museum tells the story of the 1927 Bristol Sessions, the influential recordings that sparked the “big bang of country music,” and continue to inspire the music of today.
The annual music Festival began in 2001 and has been a part of BCM since December, 2012. A 2015 Economic Impact Study showed that visitors to the Festival from outside the region had a $16.1 million impact on the region. The Festival generally hosts over 130 bands on 20 stages in downtown Bristol during the third weekend in September. Attendance has grown to approximately 45,000. Among its many accolades the Festival has been named as one of Rolling Stone’s “Top 20 Tours and Festivals”, and has won a Grand Pinnacle Award from the International Festival and Events Association.

The Birthplace of Country Music is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to perpetuate, promote, and celebrate Bristol’s rich musical heritage; to educate and engage audiences worldwide regarding the history, impact and legacy of the 1927 Bristol Sessions from which we derive our name; and to create recognition, opportunities, and economic benefit for our local and regional communities. BCM accomplishes this mission through its three primary branches (Museum, Festival, and Radio), special projects and events, and a multitude of community and educational outreach programs. Bobbi Jean and Ranson Woodard founded Woody’s Fireworks in 1971 and it has been operated by family since opening day. Jean’s grandchildren are continuing her legacy and love for fireworks.

The Sessions Hotel entertainment complex represents the creative bringing together of the 1915 Bristol Grocery Building, the 1920 Jobbers Candy Factory and a 1922 Simply Grand Granary Mill to create a dynamic and engaging experience for the community and guests.
